Oct 10, 2016 9:42 PM UTC Shia LaBeouf [appeared to tie the knot](http://www.tmz.com/2016/10/10/shia-labeouf-mia-goth-married/) with his girlfriend and former co-star Mia Goth in a Monday ceremony in Las Vegas. LaBeouf and Goth, who met in 2012 while filming _Nymphomaniac: Vol. II_, seemed to marry at Viva Las Vegas, a wedding chapel that offers a variety of themed weddings. The pair appeared to choose an Elvis Presley and Hawaiian theme and streamed parts of the ceremony, performed by an Elvis impersonator, live via [TMZ](http://www.tmz.com/2016/10/10/shia-labeouf-mia-goth-married/). > [](https://twitter.com/TMZ/status/785553101109485569) It is unclear whether the ceremony was real or just the latest in a [long line of LaBeouf’s pranks and performance art pieces](http://time.com/4503609/shia-labeouf-weird-behavior-timeline/). A rep for the actor has not yet commented. While the couple made news last year over a [public fight in Germany](http://people.com/movies/shia-labeouf-and-girlfriend-mia-goth-fight-captured-on-video/), they seemed to recover and were spotted together this year. ```json [{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"NewsArticle","@id":"https://time.com/4525799/shia-labeouf-wedding-las-vegas/","mainEntityOfPage":{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://time.com/4525799/shia-labeouf-wedding-las-vegas/"},"headline":"Shia LaBeouf Apparently Got Married in Vegas","datePublished":"2016-10-10T21:42:09.000Z","dateModified":"2026-04-13T07:37:29.896Z","description":"It's unclear whether the ceremony was real or his latest prank","url":"https://time.com/4525799/shia-labeouf-wedding-las-vegas/","keywords":["Newsfeed","celebrities"],"thumbnailUrl":"https://static.time.com/v3/assets/bltea6093859af6183b/blt832b414c1b580781/6988a97a2dce013dce9eafa7/shia-labeouf-mia-goth.jpg?branch=production&width=1200&quality=75&auto=webp&crop=1200:675&height=675","author":[{"@type":"Person","name":"Mahita Gajanan","jobTitle":"Gajanan is an editor at TIME.","url":"https://time.com/author/mahita-gajanan/"}],"articleSection":"","image":[{"@type":"ImageObject","url":"https://static.time.com/v3/assets/bltea6093859af6183b/blt832b414c1b580781/6988a97a2dce013dce9eafa7/shia-labeouf-mia-goth.jpg?branch=production&width=1200&quality=75&auto=webp&crop=1200:675&height=675","width":1200,"height":675,"headline":"\"Fury\" - Closing Night Gala: 58th BFI London Film Festival","caption":"\"Fury\" - Closing Night Gala: 58th BFI London Film Festival","creditText":"Karwai Tang—WireImage/Getty Images","representativeOfPage":true}],"publisher":{"@type":"Organization","name":"Time","url":"https://time.com/","logo":{"@type":"ImageObject","url":"https://time.com/images/logo.png","width":528,"height":156},"foundingDate":"March 3, 1923","sameAs":["https://www.facebook.com/time","https://www.instagram.com/time/?hl=en","https://twitter.com/time","https://www.pinterest.com/timemagazine"]}},{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"BreadcrumbList","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"item":{"@id":"/tag/time-section-newsfeed/","name":"Newsfeed"}},{"@type":"ListItem","position":2,"item":{"@id":"https://time.com/4525799/shia-labeouf-wedding-las-vegas/","name":"Shia LaBeouf Apparently Got Married in Vegas"}}]}] ```
