Watch Mariah Carey Sing Her Heart Out on Empire

Oct 06, 2016

After much anticipation, elusive chanteuse, future documentary series (read: not reality tv) star, and all-star shade queen Mariah Carey made her long-awaited debut as the hit singer Kitty for Empire's third season on Wednesday night.

As expected, the performance was essentially Mariah Carey being her truest self (that is, a very fabulous diva with full range) in what might be the most telling case of art imitating life, but the true gem of the night was the duet that she performed with Jussie Smollett, who plays sensitive musician Jamal Lyon on the dramatic show.

The track that they sing together, "Infamous," is now available to stream, but you can also watch their performance below.
