1 minute read

We’re still two months out from the premiere of Disney’s Moana, but the hype is already building around the debut of the first Polynesian princess— and thanks to The Rock, the public now can view a set a poster for the upcoming animated movie.

This week, The Rock — who voices the character of the ocean demigod Maui — took to Facebook to share the brand-new official poster for the film, which will be distributed abroad.

The colorful, dynamic posters all feature the tattooed Maui alongside fearless Moana, the game-changing princess of this new franchise, voiced by 14-year-old fresh find Auli’i Cravalho. So far, every sneak peek at the movie has made it clear that this is no traditional romance or fairy tale but instead a true adventure: Moana is an “empowered” character, according to Cravalho.

Take a look at the posters, below.
