The college admissions company revealed the ranking Monday as one of 62 categories in the 2017 edition of its _The Best 381 Colleges_. UW—Madison scooted into No. 1 in front of West Virginia University and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign — last year’s winner. It also earned top honors for “Best Health Services” and “Lots of Beer,” and a fourth place finish in the “LGBTQ-friendly” campus category. We've crunched a lot of data and here are the seven schools we think outperform on seven key areas. Princeton University charges about $ 65, 000 a year for those who don't receive any aid. But it's actually very affordable because it has the most generous financial aid policy of an ivy league College. The best public school in America is the University of Michigan, and that's because it has a great blend of a large school and some small classes. It admits about 45 % of the instaters who apply, and it provides lots of financial Financial aid. There are seven colleges in the country that allow students to work off much or in some cases all of their tuition. Berea, a small liberal arts college in Kentucky requires every student to work at least ten hours a week for the school but it gives every student a full tuition scholarship. This private college awards merit grants to about half of its undergraduates. Amherst College, it offers a top notch education, lots of small classes with great teachers, and an unusually affordable price. Texas A & M accepts more than two- thirds of the applicants, and yet it has a very high graduation rate. And the students who graduate tend to earn much more than students at other schools. Molloy College is a small Catholic School on long island. The average student has as ITs course in the mid 500s and about a third of the students come from families are earning less than about $ 50, 000 a year. Yet Molloy graduates most of them into good jobs.
