W hat do Ryan Lochte , Lionel Messi, James Franco and Miles Teller have in common? (Besides their high-wattage celebrity, of course.)
It’s their newly bleached hair. These stars of swimming, soccer and the silver screen — along with a slew of other famous faces — have been hitting the peroxide hard this year, going for the gold… and platinum and silver-blue. Whether it’s long, short or buzzed, these guys are testing the power of the light side up top. (We just recommend taking the proper precautions to keep their color strong .)
James Franco is the most recent to share a hair 180, opting for a funky patriotic ombré of sorts in this Instagram, posted Tuesday:
While Franco’s look is fake — other recent photos show him with short hair — and appears to be for a music video project with rapper Riff Raff, we wouldn’t be surprised if he opted for a real dye job at some point soon. The only question we have left: is bleach blonde the new man bun?
