Lewis’s [classic children’s series](http://entertainment.time.com/2011/06/16/top-10-movies-based-on-kids-books/slide/the-chronicles-of-narnia/?iid=sr-link5), _The Chronicles of Narnia_, first hit the big screen with _The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe_ back in 2005\. Other follow-ups from the iconic books have included [2008’s _Prince Caspian_](http://techland.time.com/2008/06/30/why%5Faslan%5Fis%5Fthe%5Fworst%5Fthing%5Fa/?iid=sr-link2) and [2010’s _The Voyage of the Dawn Treader_.](http://content.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,2036195,00.html?iid=sr-link4) But after a six-year break, fans are finally getting a fourth installment, this time based on _The Silver Chair_. Produced by a division of Sony — the third studio to touch the series — _The Silver Chair_ will be adapted for the silver screen by David Magee, who was the screenwriter for the magical realist [adaptation _Life of Pi_ ](http://entertainment.time.com/2012/07/25/todays-movie-trailer-life-of-pi/?iid=sr-link4)and the Peter Pan origin story _Finding Neverland,_ [Deadline reports.](http://deadline.com/2016/08/the-chronicles-of-narnia-the-silver-chair-tristar-mark-gordon-eone-david-magee-1201800919/) The fourth of seven Narnia books, _The Silver Chair_ was first published in 1953\. It’s a dark tale, with much of the action taking place in underground tunnels with idiosyncratic talking creatures. Thanks to the odd relationship time has with the world of Narnia, the chronology is a little off: one character from _The Voyage of the Dawn Treader_, Eustace Scrubb, returns as the protagonist for _Chair,_ along with his schoolmate Jill Pole, while the titular prince from the previous book appears as an elderly king. However, the latest news suggests that this film will mark a “reboot” of the franchise, with an all-new cast. One character you can be sure will return is the giant lion Aslan.
