So [Jimmy Fallon](http://time.com/4414784/watch-jimmy-fallon-hilariously-mock-donald-trumps-convention-speech/ "undefined") was wise to be very, very suspicious when the Joker sent him a present. Jared Leto, who plays the character in _Suicide Squad_ and reportedly went [very deep](http://time.com/4427272/a-brief-history-of-things-modern-neanderthal-jared-leto-has-done-to-get-in-character/?iid=sr-link4 "undefined") into the role, brought the gift with him when he stopped by _The Tonight Show_ on Monday night. Previously, Leto as the Joker [gave](http://time.com/4420595/suicide-squad-will-smith-jared-leto/?iid=sr-link5 "undefined") his _Suicide Squad_ co-star Will Smith a box of bullets, while Margot Robbie got a love letter and a live rat. So Fallon was very cautious about opening the black box. Inside was what looked like a tiny garter snake.
