An Oklahoma-based packaged foods company recalled more than 372,000 pounds of hot dogs and corn dogs made earlier this week over possible listeria contamination.
Bar-S Foods in Altus, Okla. is recalling five chicken and pork products that might be contaminated with listeria, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said Wednesday. The recalled food items include Bar-S classic corn dogs and Bar-S bun-length franks made with chicken and pork. Bar-S made the ready-to-eat products between July 10 and July 13.
Bar-S Foods has not yet received test results confirming listeria, but decided to remove the products due to “recurring Listeria species issues at the firm,” the USDA said in a statement.
No reports of illness have been linked to the products.
