Amber Rose Says It’s Sexist to Criticize Taylor Swift’s Love Life

2 minute read

Outspoken model and actress Amber Rose thinks Taylor Swift has every right to move on after her recent break-up with D.J. Calvin Harris and her subsequent hookup with British actor Tom Hiddleston.

In an interview with the Daily Beast, Rose applauded Swift’s rebound after photos leaked of Swift and Hiddleston kissing on rocks near Swift’s Rhode Island home. In response to the photos, Rose said, “I did see that and I think she’s f—ing awesome. I mean, I don’t know if it’s staged—but that’s how it is!”

Rose commented on the double standard Swift battles against as a famous female musician. “I feel like guys do that all the time—they break up and the next day they’re with another girl and nobody really says anything,” says Rose. “But with Taylor it’s, you know what, I’m done with Calvin [Harris] and it didn’t work out, so on to the next.”

Rose mocked the backlash and criticisms female celebrities face: “She’s acting very ‘slutty’ and for some reason needs time to ‘let her p— rest.’” As Rose said, “If I’m done, why do I have to sit in the house and be lonely?”
