The Empire State Building will remain dark on Sunday night, following the mass shooting at a nightclub in Orlando that left 50 people dead.
The iconic building is typically lit up at night—often with colored lights that recognize a specific occasion or celebration. On Sunday night, that recognition will come in its lack of lights.
“In sympathy for the victims of last night’s attack in Orlando, we will remain dark tonight,” the Empire State Building’s official Twitter account posted on Sunday night.
