Priyanka Chopra isn’t the only one woman who’d love to try her hand at playing James Bond. Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke told the U.K’s Daily Star in an interview published Sunday that she thinks she has what it takes to be the first female 007.
“I have a lot of unrealized dreams,” she said. “I would love to play Jane Bond.” News from earlier this month could make this dream possible: Former James Bond actor Daniel Craig turned down an offer to do two more Bond films, and speculation has been rife that the franchise could eventually have a female lead.
Clarke said she’d also love to cast Leonardo DiCaprio in her version of the film. “My ultimate leading man would be Leonardo DiCaprio. No doubt about it,” she said. That would make the 41-year-old actor the first-ever “Bond Boy.”
As for the fate of her beloved Game of Thrones character Daenerys Targaryen, Clarke says she has no idea: “Not a clue.” That could potentially leave her schedule open to make her Bond dreams a reality.
