[Paul Manafort](http://time.com/4287819/donald-trump-aide-ted-cruz-gestapo/?iid=sr-link1), the candidate’s convention manager, told CNN’s Jake Tapper on _State of the Union_ that Trump wasn’t pressured by Speaker Paul Ryan to act more presidential during their meeting on Thursday. “There’s no reason for Donald Trump to change,” Manafort said. The Trump adviser also defended the real estate mogul after a report surfaced that Trump has [posed as his own spokesperson](http://time.com/4329561/donald-trump-john-miller-john-barron-publicist-1991-phone-call/?iid=sr-link1) in the past by using fake names. “I can’t tell who it is. He says it’s not him, I believe him,” Manafort said. ## Transcript Donald Trump was not asked by the leadership to change and there's no reason for him to change. He just won the primary process with a record number of votes, beating a field of 16 qualified candidates, so there's no reason for Donald. Donald Trump to change. I could barely understand it.
