Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour performed a memorable tribute to the late pop idol Prince at Royal Albert Hall on Sunday.
Basking in purple lights, the rocker played the band’s hit “Comfortably Numb” and incorporated parts of “Purple Rain” at a benefit to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Other popular musicians who have been paying tribute to the legend include Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Ellie Goulding, LCD Soundsystem, as well as the casts of the Broadway musicals Hamilton and The Color Purple.
