Watch Mormons Poke Fun at Missionaries in This Parody of Adele’s ‘Hello’

1 minute read

In the latest music video parody of Adele’s hit single “Hello,” Mormons spoof the work of their church’s missionaries.

The singers, Parker Cressman and Conner Hein, are not current missionaries but have served with missions in the past, according to a description of the video on YouTube.

Sample lyrics written by Marcus Joseph and Korey Smith, students at Brigham Young University:

Hello from the other side / We must’ve rang a thousand times / To tell you we don’t have 10 or more wives / When we ring you never seem to be home …

Hello from the outside / At least we can’t see that we tried to ask you if you need any help with your lawn / And it don’t matter if you don’t want to see us again anymore.

No word on whether any of these men have received casting calls from Broadway’s The Book of Mormon.
