Here’s a Video of Some Gorillas Going on an Easter Egg Hunt

Gorillas enjoy holiday traditions just as much as people do, apparently.

The Cincinnati Zoo shared a video on Wednesday of their western lowland gorillas participating in the annual Easter egg hunt that is set up inside their exhibit. The clip shows the band of primates carrying colorful baskets around the enclosure as they search for dyed eggs to place inside them — although most of the group seemed more inclined to immediately snack on their discoveries.

“We give them enrichment every single day, [but] this is a little bit more extravagant than what we do on a daily basis so they are getting more treats and that sort of thing today,” a zookeeper said. They really like hard-boiled eggs so they’re running around trying to gather as much as they can.”
