The 18 year old was in the middle of interviewing for a position at a New Orleans location of the fast food chain when the suspect—later identified as Pablo Ciscart—attempted to [take money](http://time.com/3971658/heart-of-gaming-arcade-crowdfund/) from an open cash register and flee the scene, [reports police](http://www.wdsu.com/news/local-news/new-orleans/applicant-helps-stop-robbery-during-popeyes-job-interview/38600862). Danyanna Metoyer, [the manager](http://newsfeed.time.com/2013/07/19/96-year-old-store-owner-scares-robber-away/) conducting the interview, blocked the man from exiting while Washington pinned his arm behind him. They then held him until police arrived.
