[It is believed he played](http://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/mar/18/paris-attacks-suspect-salah-abdeslam-wounded-in-brussels-terror-raid-reports "undefined") an [important role](http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35286647 "undefined") in organizing the logistics of the Paris attacks, and was a [driver](http://time.com/4264517/paris-attacks-raid-brussels-belgium/ "undefined") for the three bombers who blew themselves up at the Stade de France. His brother, Brahim Abdeslam, died carrying out the attack. He allegedly [escaped](http://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/mar/18/paris-attacks-suspect-salah-abdeslam-wounded-in-brussels-terror-raid-reports "undefined") to Brussels shortly afterwards. The car was [stopped on the France-Belgium border](http://time.com/4114011/paris-attacks-suspect-salah-abdeslam-belgium/ "undefined"), but was allowed to pass by police. Abdeslam is among the last of the alleged Paris attackers targeted by police. According to the [BBC,](http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35846954 "undefined") nine of the other suspected terrorists died in the attack or in subsequent police raids.
