Dolly Parton is hitting the road, the singer announced Sunday. Billed as her biggest North American tour in 25 years, Parton will hit more than 60 cities in Canada and the U.S. throughout the tour’s run. Specific dates have not yet been announced.
The country queen will play a bounty of selects from the course of her career, including greatest hits, new cuts from her forthcoming double-disc, Pure & Simple with Dolly Parton’s Biggest Hits, and a medley of songs that haven’t been heard live in decades. A track listing for Pure & Simple, which will feature all new material, will be announced soon.
“We’re so excited to get out there and see the fans again,” Parton wrote on her website. “I’m really looking forward to singing songs the fans have not heard in a while, as well as the hits, while debuting a few new ones off Pure & Simple.”
Her TV biopic, NBC’s Coat of Many Colors, is slated for DVD May 3.
