The Chattanooga Zoo in Tennessee shared a photo on its Facebook page Wednesday of a one-eyed owl named “Oedipus,” and it has been going viral on the social network since.
“Oedipus, the Eastern Screech Owl, came to us through our Wildlife Rehabilitation center due to an eye injury that resulted in its removal, significantly reducing his ability to survive in the wild,” the zoo wrote in a post. “Oedipus is now part of our animal ambassador team and helps us share the importance of conservation locally and globally.”
