Federal officials stopped a woman at a Maryland airport checkpoint who had platform shoes with gun-shaped heels and bullet-lined bracelets.
“Shoes and bracelets that are less than ideal to wear or bring to a @TSA checkpoint,” Transportation Security Administration (TSA) spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein tweeted on Monday, along with two photos of the items. “Friendly reminder from @TSA: Realistic replica firearms and ammunition are not permitted past TSA checkpoints.”
The accessories delayed the traveler at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport in Maryland on Saturday, Farbstein told TIME in an email, but it’s unclear for how long. The woman had the items in one of her carry-on bags. She was told she could put them in a checked bag but ended up ditching them to catch her flight, Farbstein said.
