Across New Hampshire, candidates are engaging in the kind of retail politics that is only possible in a small state: attending luncheons and speaking at town halls, shaking voters’ hands in restaurants, and taking hundreds of selfies.
On Friday, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio spent more than an hour shaking people’s hands in Derry, New Hampshire. Just 20 minutes away, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz joked about the “good old New England weather” after up to ten inches of snow blanketed the state.
Earlier in the day, former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina met a few dozen voters for coffee while Hillary Clinton ended a rally by dancing on stage with former Senate colleagues.
