Holder, who served as deputy attorney general under President Bill Clinton and in the Obama Cabinet alongside Hillary Clinton from 2009 to 2013, touts his long relationship with her in the ad, titled “25 Years.” Holder endorses Clinton’s stance on [tightening gun laws and increasing police accountability](http://time.com/4093828/hillary-clinton-criminal-justice-reform/) and says that she has “fought her whole life for children, to protect civil rights, voting rights.” The ad follows a [January announcement](http://time.com/4178635/hillary-clinton-attorney-general-eric-holder-election/) that Holder, the nation’s first black attorney general, would campaign for Clinton in South Carolina, where more than 25% of the population is African-American.
