Super Bowl Stadium Accidentally Puts Broncos Logo in Wrong End Zone

1 minute read

Preparing for hosting the Super Bowl is hard work. Just ask the crew at Santa Clara, California’s Levi’s Stadium.

The grounds crew mistakenly painted the wrong end zone with the Denver Broncos team colors and logo before someone realized the error and had them erase it. The moment, however, had already been memorialized on social media.

Good thing the Carolina Panthers’ logo is blue and black: Even after the crew erased their mistake, the ghostly outline of the Broncos’ name was still visible.

According to an electronic simulation of Sunday’s game run by Electronic Arts (via their Madden NFL 16 game), the Panthers are favored to beat the Broncos in the big game, 24-20. Before you scoff, know that the company has an oddly solid track record with its simulations: They’ve correctly called nine games out of the last 12.

Well, either way, at least the field’s properly painted now!
