The largest Powerball jackpot in history has surged up to $800 million.
If no winner is selected at the drawing on Saturday, the prize could rise to $1 billion next week.
“It’s an upward spiral. The bigger the jackpot, the more players buy tickets and the bigger the jackpot gets,” Michigan Lottery spokesman Jeff Holyfield told TIME Thursday. “This is when people really start flocking to the game. For $2, you have a chance to not even be rich, but I would say filthy rich.”

The previous record Powerball jackpot – $590.5 million – was won in May 2013. In case you get lucky on Saturday, TIME has compiled a guide of what you should do if you win.
Still, keep in mind that you have a larger chance of dying from chronic constipation than you do of winning the Powerball jackpot.
