Louis Vuitton is bending gender roles in its latest womenswear ad campaign by featuring [Jaden Smith](http://time.com/4087095/jaden-smith-interview/) in a skirt.

Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière shared an image from the fashion house’s latest campaign for spring/summer 2016 on Instagram Sunday. In it, Smith poses alongside three female models, wearing a leather motorcycle-style jacket over a fringe top and a pleated skirt.

Actor and trans rights activist Laverne Cox praised the campaign via Instagram on Monday, using the tags #genderfluidity and #nobinary.

[_Out Magazine_](http://www.out.com/truman-says/2015/6/01/jaden-smith-wears-dress-prom) points out this isn’t the first time Smith, a 17-year-old actor and artist, has bucked gender stereotypes with his dress. When Smith went to prom with actor Amandla Stenberg, he donned a white skirt under his tuxedo jacket.

[00:08] I think the energy that comes out of Fashion Week is
[00:11] what excites me the most. Everyone is just so excited
[00:13] to be here. There's Lights, cameras, just tons of
[00:17] people, it's so fast paced and I think that's why I really
[00:20] enjoy being here. My name is Rebekah Marine, most
[00:23] people know me as the, bionic model. [ LAUGH ]
[00:30] I think growing up I was just such a ham for the
[00:32] camera modeling was a natural choice for me. Hearing
[00:37] a lot of rejection isn't easy for anybody, and
[00:41] when it's based on your looks it's really hard to
[00:46] embrace because you can't really change the fact that I
[00:50] have one arm. The fashion world has, Grown
[00:53] accustomed to seeing diversity, but I don't think we're
[00:57] fully there yet. I think we still have a long ways to go
[01:00] until we really fully incorporate disabled models, as
[01:04] just a normal model. [ MUSIC ]
[01:11] The walk. The walk is probably the most
[01:14] nerve- racking thing about Fashion Week because
[01:16] there's a science to it. You've gotta have your hips out,
[01:20] and left foot crosses over the right but the right can't
[01:22] cross over the left. There's just so much to the walk
[01:25] and when you go out there Trying not to think about
[01:30] not trip. That's probably the biggest concern I have.
[01:34] Don't trip. It's definitely humbling to be a role model to
[01:38] a lot of kids who have interest being a model or just
[01:41] wanting to pursue any dream really. I heard a lot of
[01:45] kids come up to me and say, Hey you've changed the
[01:47] way that I thought about My career choice and have
[01:50] kids who now want to live outside of their comfort
[01:52] zones. [ MUSIC ]
[01:55] I remember a woman came up to me, she was born
[01:59] without a forearm, as well. She said, I've been
[02:03] hiding my arm my entire life. You've given me so much
[02:06] hope and now I, Not afraid anymore, and you've
[02:10] changed my life. And that was probably the most
[02:13] powerful moment in my life, and that's when I realized
[02:15] this is what I'm here to do. I
[02:19] think it's so cool to just kind of be at the front of the
[02:22] line of this change, and being able to inspire others to
[02:26] open the doors And open their minds to different
[02:30] models, it's a humbling experience. I
[02:34] think it's so important to just own it and not be held
[02:37] back by those insecurities because we all have them.
