Feds Issue Permit for Santa Claus and His Reindeer to Enter U.S.

Even the U.S. Department of Agriculture is joining in the holiday spirit, issuing a report on Wednesday that it would permit Mr. S. Claus of the North Pole to enter and exit the country accompanied by reindeer.

In a move displaying true governmental transparency, the USDA released a statement about the decision to allow the reindeer into the country without the standard process to screen incoming livestock.

“During this season of giving, we agreed to waive the normal application fees and entry inspection/overtime costs,” said USDA Chief Veterinary Officer John Clifford. “USDA wants to do everything in its power to help Santa.”
