In the midst of a record-breaking heat wave in South Australia, this koala found solace in a puddle of water on the side of the road. The video was posted to Facebook by Paul Jansen and shows the thirsty marsupial lapping up rainwater running from a drain in Adelaide.
The city recorded its longest December heat wave ever over the weekend, with four consecutive days of temperatures over 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit), according to ABC News.
Jansen said that the Koala drank from the puddle for 20 minutes. “How much more can he take?,” Jansen asks in the clip.
