The stories, from Andrzej Sapkowski’s collection [_The Last Wish_](http://www.amazon.com/dp/0316029181/?tag=timecom-20), focus on hero Geralt the witcher, a superhuman monster hunter. [According to Platige Films](http://platige.com/en/page/659-Sdc%5FWork%5FWith%5FTomek%5FBaginski), the stories will be adapted by screenwriter Thania St. John and directed by Tomasz Bagiński (_The Cathedral_). The first film is planned for 2017, but it “is planned to be the beginning of a series,” Platige says.
