This Is the Word of the Year for 2015

If you’ve ever repeatedly succumbed to that 15-second window Netflix gives you to decide whether to watch another House of Cards episode, you’ve indulged in what British dictionary Collins has deemed 2015’s Word of the Year.

You guessed it: binge-watch.

According to a list released by the dictionary on Thursday, the word — which of course means “to watch a large number of television programs (especially all the shows from one series) in succession” — beat out other popular terms from this year, including dadbod and ghosting.
