Director Spike Lee dropped a new trailer for his highly anticipated new movie Chiraq on Tuesday, exactly a month before its release.
The trailer debuted on Amazon, which will make the film available on its Amazon Instant Video platform after the Dec. 4 limited release, according to Variety.
The controversial film, an adaptation of the ancient Greek comedic play Lysistrata, centers on gang violence in Chicago and a group of women’s unique way of combating it. Lysistrata, the protagonist played by Teyonah Parris, induces the women to withhold sex unless their men give up guns.
The film also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Nick Cannon, Wesley Snipes and Jennifer Hudson.
