On Thursday, Adele released [the video](http://time.com/4084687/adele-hello-video/) for her new single, “Hello.” Fans were quick to point out that this song reminded them of Lionel Richie’s 1984 tune of the same name. Some people even said they [wished](https://twitter.com/GuyLodge/status/657540895470977024) Adele’s song had actually just been [a cover](https://twitter.com/hellerNYT/status/657524196990451716) of Lionel Richie’s. And then, of course, came the people desperately [crying out](https://twitter.com/pissedachios/status/657465144075620352) for a mashup of the two.

And now, unsurprisingly, a few mashups have arrived. They’re short, but they’re still pretty great:

Now we just have to wait for someone to release a full-length mashup. People [really](https://twitter.com/iamdanparry/status/657559694643470336), [really](https://twitter.com/mikeconway03/status/657559544420110338) want this to happen. Can anybody out there make it happen? Please? Hello?
