Lindsay Lohan Says She Might Also Run for President in 2020

2 minute read

Looks like Kanye West may have some competition in the 2020 presidential primaries: Lindsay Lohan has declared on Instagram that she has White House ambitions of her own.

“In #2020 I may run for president,” she wrote, adding, “lets do this @kanyewest … thank you for inspiring us to be better people.”

The actress also posted a picture of herself and West, setting up her campaign platform. “The first thing I would like to do as president … is take care of all of the children suffering in the world,” she wrote. “#queenELIZABETH showed me how by having me in her country.”

The actress, who has faced numerous rehab stints and arrests, moved to London to make her West End debut in Speed-the-Plow, and said earlier this year that she wanted to apply for British citizenship — something she can’t pursue if she’s serious about her U.S. presidential bid.

And if she decides to run, Lohan will be joining an increasingly star-studded race. Kanye West, of course, announced two months ago during the MTV VMAs that he is running for president in 2020.

Whether or not West is serious (and his wife and reality TV megastar Kim Kardashian West says he is), West’s announcement has garnered social media support from the Democratic National Committee, some pointers from President Barack Obama, and a vice-presidential bid from Taylor Swift (#KanTay2020).

And we thought next year’s election was interesting.
