Watch Stephen Colbert Tackle a Football Dummy on The Late Show

1 minute read

Strapped in a helmet and pads, Stephen Colbert tackled a robotic football dummy on The Late Show Thursday night.

Dartmouth College’s head football coach, Buddy Teevans, told Colbert the robotic tackling dummy—known as the Mobile Virtual Player—was created so that players didn’t injure each other during practice.

With that in mind, Colbert naturally thought it wise to tackle it.

“I want you to know that I have played one day of high school football,” Colbert said before launching at the dummy.
