After being advised that he should just act normal around Robert De Niro, Andrew Rannells went on a swearing tear when he met the veteran actor.
Rannells appeared on Wednesday night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote his new movie, The Intern, in which he co-stars with De Niro and Anne Hathaway. He told Fallon the story of his attempt to play it cool the first time he spoke with De Niro.
“We’re on set and we’re sitting next to each other and my version of normal was to just start cursing like I had Tourettes,” Rannells said.
He then proceeded to drop a slew of f-bombs that kept the NBC censors extremely busy.
“Oh, is this not HBO?,” Rannells quipped.
