See How One of the World’s Oldest Pandas Celebrates His 30th Birthday

A panda who has been called the world’s oldest male panda in captivity, “Pan Pan,” celebrated his 30th birthday Monday with a cake made out of ice and decorated with carrots at the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Dujiangyan, China.

On July 28, “Jia Jia,” crowned the world’s oldest panda in captivity by Guinness World Records, celebrated turning 37 years old — believed to be about 110 in panda years — at Hong Kong’s Ocean Park with a cake made out of bamboo, vegetables, and ice.
