This Self-Rolling Yoga Mat Will Only Make You Lazier

1 minute read

A Kickstarter has raised more than 30 thousand dollars by promising yogis and fitness junkies an easier way to do the easiest part of exercise: rolling up your mat.

But if you want savor your savasana pose for a few seconds longer, YoYo Mat might just be for you.

According to an accompanying video, this product is the world’s “first self-rolling yoga mat” and it “stays rolled up without the use of straps or bags.” Its founders promise it’ll ease the pain of post-class problems caused by normal yoga mats that are really, really hard to roll up.

Creator Aaron Thornton says he used inspiration from slap-on wristbands to create the self-rolling mat and worked on the design for more than a year with partner Dino May and creative designer Yu Tsai. The Kickstarter is aiming to get $50,000 by Oct. 16. See how it works in the video below.
