In a recent spoof video produced by the Calgary Humane Society in Canada, a mustachioed man in a suit tries to sell people on adopting cats — “certified pre-owned cats,” that is. “We’ve got cats of all makes, models, and colors,” the faux salesman says, then describes one feline as “boasting a top speed of 30mph.” The video was made to promote an adoption day hosted in a parking lot earlier this month, but the message is relevant year-round.
