The kids are often grossed out by the unfamiliar dishes, offering commentary like “Isn’t plaintain, like, something you rub against?” and “I am definitely not eating this every day. Man, this is gross. I am out of here. Straight to the toilet.” Many of them do, however, appreciate some of the dishes, like the High Energy Biscuit from Afghanistan and the stew from Kenya.
