The Washington _Post_ reports the Trump team filed applications to trademark “Trumpocrat” and “Trumpublican” earlier this year. The trademarks are currently classified as abandoned, but they can still be looked up through the [U.S. Patent and Trademark Office database](http://www.uspto.gov/trademarks-application-process/search-trademark-database "undefined"). This isn’t the first time Trump has made use of the trademark office.
