The 24-inch torch will be offered by Heritage Auctions in Chicago during its Platinum Sports Auction on July 30, the auction house [announced](http://www.ha.com/heritage-auctions-press-releases-and-news/1984-olympic-torch-carried-by-caitlyn-jenner-when-she-identified-as-bruce-up-for-auction.s?releaseId=2784&ic=ih-Jenner-Torch-ViewLot-auction7145-070615 "undefined") on Tuesday. The seller is Bob Lorsch, a Los Angeles philanthropist and entrepreneur who recruited Jenner to run part of the Lake Tahoe, Nevada, leg of the torch relay, which Lorsch had organized. Jenner, a 1976 Olympic gold medalist in decathlon, was “America’s most celebrated Olympian” at the time of the 1,000 meter run, the auction house said.
