Attention all Mulder and Scully shippers: _The X-Files_‘ David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson sang together Tuesday night.

The two are reuniting for more _X-Files_, but that won’t come until January, [as _Entertainment Weekly_ reported](http://www.ew.com/article/2015/05/11/fox-schedule-2015-2016). No, this was some extracurricular crooning at New York’s The Cutting Room, where Duchovny was holding a concert on the day his album, _Hell or Highwater_, was released.

According [to Sky News](http://news.sky.com/story/1483073/x-files-duchovny-and-anderson-sing-together), before launching into Neil Young’s “Helpless” the two engaged in some light ribbing. “Can we play some real music please?” Anderson reportedly said.

The quality of the singing is debatable, but there’s a squeal-worthy moment at the end.
