So it’s unsurprising that when the _Grand Budapest Hotel_ director lent his stylings to the creation of a café in Milan, Italy, it came out looking like a set from one of his films. According to the [official website](http://www.fondazioneprada.org/barluce-en/?lang=en) for Bar Luce, Anderson said his aim was “to make it a bar I would want to spend my own non-fictional afternoons in,” or a place where he would want to do his own writing. The bar, which opened May 9, itself looks to be an amalgamation of Anderson’s films and his own general sense of décor. Two pinball machines are located in Bar Luce, one based on _The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou_, the other on the director’s short film _Castello Cavalcanti_. And the wallpaper evokes the distinct _Budapest Hotel_ design.
