Daniel Radcliffe’s latest onscreen adventure? Bringing the wildly popular, and equally divisive, video game Grand Theft Auto to life.
The Harry Potter star has been cast along with Bill Paxton in the BBC’s upcoming drama called Game Changer, Entertainment Weekly reports. The series focuses on Grand Theft Auto and the controversy surrounding the game in popular culture.
Game Changer is written by Rev’s James Wood and directed by Black Mirror’s Owen Harris. Radcliffe is set to play Sam Houser, one of the co-founders of Rockstar Games, the studio behind Grand Theft Auto, and Paxton will play opposite him as Jack Thompson, a lawyer who campaigned against violent video games.
