Fans of The Daily Show who want to get to know their new host Trevor Noah need look no further than the Comedy Central show itself. Noah has appeared three times since joining the show in December, and his clips give a sense of what the comedian might be like when he takes the reins from Jon Stewart.
Noah first appeared on The Daily Show in December, juxtaposing stereotypes about African poverty with facts about how bad life is for black Americans. “Be grateful for what you have,” he says South African mothers tell their kids, “because there are fat children starving in Mississippi.”

Then in January, Noah appeared again to talk about how serious attacks by Boko Haram in Nigeria were overshadowed by the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris. “Don’t you see, Jon?” he asked, “Boko Haram is black ISIS.”
