Kelly Clarkson is obviously great at singing pop music — but her new cover of Tracy Chapman’s 1996 hit “Give Me One Reason” is a good reminder that girl can seriously sing the blues too.
Clarkson performed the cover during a visit to Sirius XM Radio, where she pretty much crushed it. It’s bluesy and soulful like Chapman’s original tune, but with a little more power and a lot more growling.
Kelly, please make a blues album. Thanks.
