A guardsman who was spotted doing pirouettes outside Buckingham Palace could face prison time and a hefty fine, The Telegraph and The Daily Mail report.
Since a YouTube user named Andy Richards uploaded video proof to the site about a month ago, authorities have been considering disciplinary action — and the U.K. Ministry of Defence knows about the supposed breach of conduct as well, according to The Daily Mail. The stunt could land him a $1,600 fine or 21 days behind bars.
Richards told BBC News that the guardsman – now nicknamed “Private Dancer” – was “obviously playing a bit to the crowd,” and some passersby were encouraging him from the other side of the fence.
