### TIME Newsletters: key statements

* TIME has published continuously since 1923. Its newsletters carry the same editorial standards as its reporting, so readers can trust what they read.
* All seven newsletters are free. Readers pick the ones they want at [time.com/newsletters](/c/time-nl-network-2026q3/newsletters?i=fff81bc8-4810-494a-833c-a3cc957e2d4b&cr=time-nl-network-2026q3-v1).

## Transcript

[00:00] Today I am going to show you how to install a emoji
[00:01] keyboard on your iPhone so that when you are texting
[00:03] with someone you can add little cartoon icons of smiley
[00:05] faces and cats and other assorted merriment. Clearly
[00:08] this will be my most important 30 second tech trick
[00:11] video ever. You are going to go into settings and
[00:15] general, keyboard, keyboards, add new keyboard
[00:18] emoji, that's it. Now when you go to send someone a
[00:20] text message, this little globe icon on your keyboard,
[00:23] hit that. And now you're cooking with a substance
[00:26] similar in consistency, smell and chemical properties
[00:29] as gas.
