But the best he could coax out of the former Secretary of State and First Lady was that speculation on her candidacy had turned into a “cottage industry.” Clinton’s appearance on _The Daily Show_ comes near the end of a book tour that has taken her across the U.S., to Europe and to the studios of most major American television networks for extended interviews. It is a return performance for Clinton, who first appeared on Stewart’s Comedy Central show when she was a Senator for New York promoting her 2003 memoir, _Living History_. She also made an appearance during her 2008 presidential campaign. During Tuesday’s show, Clinton touched on several of the domestic and international issues she tackled as Secretary of State, topics that are the backbone of her latest book, _Hard Choices_, which currently occupies the No. 2 slot on the New York _Times_’ nonfiction best-seller list_._ Stewart called the book an “eyewitness view to the history of those four years,” but repeatedly came back to the question of 2016\. “I think I speak for everybody when I say, no one cares (about the book), they just want to know if you’re running for President.” On that point, however, Clinton intends to keep feeding that cottage industry. I think I speak for everybody, when I say, no one cares, they just want to know if you're funning for president. [ LAUGH ] I was going to make an announcement, but. I saw, I mean you kind of spoiled it for me. No no no, please. Yeah, no. I mean. The big. So that's a yes. Let me ask you a question. Do you like commuting to work or do you like a home office? What's your What do you prefer? You know I've spent so many years commuting, I'd kind of prefer a home office. All right. Do you have a favorite shape for that home office? Do you like it? [ LAUGH ] Do you like, do you like that office, let's say, would you like that office. Just, Maybe. Would, would, would you like to have corner or would you like it not to have corners I don't know. The world is so complicated the few corners that you have I'm, I'm not really paying a lot of attention to it.
