This one comes from a young reader named [00:05] Luc who wants to know, what do you miss most from [00:08] Earth? Again, you're up there for a long time. It's the [00:11] simple things, I think, that you miss most and for me [00:14] personally, I miss a shower. A nice, warm shower in [00:17] the morning. If we could get that going up here, wow, [00:19] that would be something really, really super. But for [00:22] now that's the number one thing. I did see, I did see [00:26] on a TV show a couple days ago, a family sat down [00:29] and had a big pizza with a soda. And man, I [00:33] was, at that point I was missing pizza a little bit more [00:36] than the than the shower. But overall, that's where we [00:39] are. We actually did get three pizza questions from [00:43] readers, so they were right on the money there. From [00:46] some of our, our photography fans who read Time. [00:49] What cameras do you use and are there limitations on [00:52] what cameras can be used in space? Can you just use [00:55] an iPhone to take a picture up there? Well you could [00:57] take an iPhone. But, of course, what we see out the [01:01] window is so beautiful that we need something with a [01:03] little bit more resolution. So we have a like [01:05] professional, SLR cameras. Also duel lenses, if you [01:09] want to take a picture of a typhoon or a hurricane, you [01:12] need a wide angle lens. So and then if you want to take [01:15] a picture of your hometown, you have this huge [01:18] 800mm lens. That you can actually see houses, [01:20] individual houses. And it's pretty amazing what you [01:23] can do. And also, it's amazing to see what the cosmic [01:26] radiation does. Like, eh, we really have to use up these [01:29] cameras. Like they only last for half a year or a year, [01:31] then the pixel damage through cosmic radiation is so [01:34] big, that we actually bring up new ones. And I imagine [01:37] the view of the nighttime sky or it's always the [01:40] nighttime sky, of course, is radically different with no [01:43] atmospheric interference. That is true, the stars do not [01:47] twinkle up here.
