This Pilot Ordered Pizza for His Passengers During a Massive Delay

1 minute read

Call it a pie in the sky.

When a Frontier Airlines pilot of a Denver-bound flight found himself confronted with a diversion to Cheyenne, Wyoming, he did what any responsible pilot would do: he bought his passengers pizzas.

Cheyenne Domino’s Pizza got a call at 10 p.m. and delivered 35 pizzas to the airport, where the driver handed the food off to the flight attendants, the Associated Press reports.

The flight resumed on its way to Denver around 10:30 p.m., shortly after the pizzas arrived.

Domino’s manager, Andrew Ritchie, said his team needed to make in half an hour what they usually make in one full hour. “It was definitely one of those ‘challenge accepted’ moments in time.”
